This is a picture of the fireworks we used to see when we lived in Seattle...from the Space Needle. No fireworks down here...no noise..just the peace and quiet of the countryside. I've always thought new Year's Eve was over-rated...and prefer to stay home away from the drunks on the roads.... we watched Thin Man movies (aka Nick and Nora and Asta) and woke up the next morning feeling much better than if we had been out partying.... plus us old folks need our sleep.
Today was absolutely a gorgeous day - upper 50's and sunshine...didn't even need a jacket or fleece.... sat in the sun awhile to get more Vitamin D!
