Sometimes we never know what the weather will be like when we wake up but this time we were warned... winter storm warning...winter storm watch, etc. Well, "they" were right and snow is falling over much of the state. We have about an inch or two on the ground with 20 mph winds blowing it around. Gene and Patty and Paul went off to Santa Fe yesterday and when we heard this storm was coming in from the west, they decided they should leave and head for Phoenix before it hit here. They have to be there Friday night for some meetings on Saturday, so it was a good choice, although we hated to see them leave so soon. But it made sense rather than waiting until this morning, and that was the right choice. Leaving shoes out all night - not so much!
They all enjoyed Santa Fe yesterday and did a little shopping... Gene bought me a gorgeous pair of earrings from a Navajo craftsman at the Plaza market... much larger than I would have bought but I love them. Total surprise too which made it even more fun. They toured the Loretto Chapel, the St Francis Cathedral, the new NM museum and had lunch at Bobcat Bites before heading back to LV.
So today is a good day to stay in a work on finishing the Northwoods quilt (binding - yuck) and a few other chores.
I love the photos you post on your blog! Kaye
